Arrest made in Snyder County robbery

              SHAMOKIN DAM – Police have made an arrest in Tuesday’s attempted robbery in Shamokin Dam. Police chief Tim Bremigen filed charges Friday against 33-year-old Jonathan Hackenberg of Yeagertown. Police say Hackenberg entered the Dollar General store through a back door wearing a mask. When confronted by employees he waved a handgun at them and told them to “get on the ground.” The employees ran out the front door and Hackenberg fled the scene. He is charged with robbery and burglary as well as several misdemeanor charges and was arraigned Friday before district judge John Reed.
